Career Academy Graduation
The Career Academy students from 2013-2015 attended their Graduation Ceremony
We held our Career Academy Graduation Ceremony on Thursday 2nd July 2015. The academy was delighted that Karl McCartney, MP for Lincoln was able to attend the event and present our students with their Graduation Certificates. Karl was instrumental in setting up our Career Academy and continues to play a key role in its development. All of our 2nd Year Career Ready students have successfully secured employment with training, an apprenticeship or an offer of a place at University. Greg Gavin was awarded the Sills & Betteridge Prize for the student that has benefited the most from the Career Academy experience in relation to their career pathway. Greg carried out an internship during the summer of 2014 at two branches of the Lincolnshire Co-op Pharmacy Group. Greg made a very positive impression at both Pharmacies and, during my visit, staff said that they regarded Greg as another key member of their team. The opportunities Greg accessed through being a Career Academy student have definitely impacted in a positive way on Greg’s Post-18 career choices. Greg has accepted a place at Sheffield University to study a degree in Chemical Engineering.
