House System
Every member of the Academy is involved with the House System. At the heart of what we do are three House Champions who organise events across the academic year to develop students’ imagination and creativity, develop a sense of enjoyment and fascination in learning about themselves, others and the world around them. Similarly, it encourages them to use a range of social skills in different contexts, for example working and socialising with other pupils. Our Multi Sports Event in July also contributes towards House points. All the points lead to a final presentation at the end of the year when the winning house is announced and individual achievements are celebrated.
Some House events you may want to take part in include:
Treasure Hunts, Dodgeball, Welly Wanging, Pumpkin Carving, Mario Kart tournaments, Rocket League, Rounders, Sports Day, Tug of War, Football, Masked Reader, Carnival Games, paper aeroplane race & UNO card competition.
Last year, Franklin were crowned the winners of the house cup, beating St Hugh by 202 points. Who will win the cup in July 2023?
