Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
 
Tennyson produced one of his best-known works, "The Charge of the Light Brigade", in 1855. Other esteemed works written include Ode on the Death of the Duke of Wellington and Ode Sung at the Opening of the International Exhibition. Tennyson was a craftsman who polished and revised his manuscripts extensively.  
 
He demonstrated creativity, passion, determination and perseverance, all of which students in Tennyson House strive towards.
